Booking & Confirmation

A booking is confirmed once both parties have agreed on the shoot details and any required deposit has been received. The agreed date and time will then be reserved exclusively for your session.

Payment

Invoices are payable by bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.

For larger commissions, a non-refundable booking deposit may be required to secure the booking, with the remaining balance due upon completion of the project or as agreed in advance.

Late payments may be subject to additional charges where applicable.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

A 25% non-refundable booking deposit is required for commissions valued at £250 or more, or where significant preparation, travel or studio hire is involved. Your booking is confirmed once this deposit has been received.

Where travel or other agreed expenses are required before the shoot, these may be requested in advance or included within the booking deposit.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, please provide as much notice as possible. Bookings cancelled within 48 hours of the agreed shoot may result in the loss of the booking deposit. Any non-refundable expenses already incurred on your behalf, such as travel or studio hire, may also remain payable.

If I need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, an alternative date will always be offered. If this is not suitable, any payments made, including the booking deposit, will be refunded in full.

Travel

Travel within the local Buckinghamshire area is included where agreed.

Travel outside this area, including London or other locations, may incur additional travel expenses, which will always be discussed and agreed before the shoot.

Studio Hire

Studio hire is not included within standard photography pricing.

Where a hired studio is required, all associated costs will be discussed and agreed before booking and included within your personalised quotation.

Image Delivery

Final edited images will be delivered via a private online gallery or secure download link.

Typical turnaround times will be discussed before each project and may vary depending on the scale of the commission.

Editing

All delivered images are professionally edited in line with my creative style.

Additional retouching or editing requests beyond the agreed scope may incur an additional fee.

RAW (unedited) files are not supplied unless agreed in writing before the project.

Copyright & Usage

Copyright of all photographs remains with Lyla McBrearty unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Clients receive a licence to use the final images for the purposes agreed at the time of booking.

Commercial campaigns, advertising, publication, resale or third-party licensing may require an extended usage licence.

Portfolio & Promotion

Unless otherwise agreed, I reserve the right to use commissioned photographs for my portfolio, website, exhibitions, competitions, publications and social media.

If your project is confidential or embargoed, please let me know before the shoot and I will happily discuss suitable arrangements.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for obtaining any permissions required for locations, venues or individuals where necessary.

Please ensure everyone involved in the shoot is aware that photography is taking place and has given their consent where appropriate.

Limitation of Liability

Whilst every effort is made to provide a professional and reliable service, liability is limited to the total value of the booking.

In the unlikely event of equipment failure, illness or circumstances beyond my control, every reasonable effort will be made to rearrange the session or provide an appropriate solution.

Acceptance

Booking a photography session or commissioning photographic services confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
